Syracuse University maintains a page of the Services Provided for international students.
The Lillian and Emanuel Slutzker Center for International Services for Students of Syracuse University provides special services for international students. The center is the best reference for learning about or keeping up to date on immigration law, taxes in the US, and your rights and responsibilities as an international student, scholar, or temporary worker. Among the services all international students should take advantage of are:
- Seminars on Practical Training, Travel, On-campus Employment, and extension of program.
- Walk-In and by appointment sessions with Advisors, as well as Email answers to your questions
- SCISNEWS is a weekly electronic newsletter for international students.
The State Department maintains a “Visa Bulletin” with latest information relevant to visa holders.
The Immigration and Naturalization Service maintains a list of forms available online and their relevant fees.
International Students looking to work in the US can find out more about temporary work visas (such as the H1-B visa) from the INS Temporary Worker Page.
