Welcome to the National Security Studies Website

  Overview

National Securities Studies (NSS) is a premier professional development program that offers executive education courses for senior civilian and military leaders who are responsible for the national security interests of their respective organizations.  NSS was founded in 1996 and is headquartered at top ranked Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs in New York.

National Security Leadership and Management Courses, Seminars, and Case Studies

The National Security Management Course (NSMC) is a premiere two-week resident course of instruction held at Syracuse University and the keynote event of the NSS program.  The course explores the wide range of emerging management challenges facing domestic and international security professionals.  The NSMC accomplishes that mission through stimulating instruction, discussions, simulations and case studies.

NSS can bring condensed versions of the NSMC to organizations around the world. These seminars usually last 1 or 2 days and are customized to address the unique requirements of a particular group.

NSS also offers an extensive cadre of forward thinking speakers, case studies, exercises, and simulations. NSS can host these events at Syracuse University, or arrange to send them to your location.

Personal and Professional Development = Career Advancement

Participants in the class who satisfactorily complete the course receive an executive certificate in national security management and many federal, state, and local agencies count the NSMC toward their continuing education and promotion requirements.
