Student Community
The MPA Student Community encompasses a wide range of backgrounds and interests. Despite the very rigorous nature of our continuous full year program – students in the MPA program do get involved in a variety of activities beyond their studies. MAXPAC (Maxwell Public Administration Council) serves the student body and administration as the graduate student government. They host a variety of activities each year including not only social events, but also, fundraising and community service initiatives. COMPAS (Coalition of Minority Public Administration Students) also hosts several events each year such as bringing in speakers and assisting local agencies. The Maxwell Women's Caucus, the organization strives to promote open dialogue on women's issues in the Maxwell community, and organizes programs and events that promote equality and understanding among the gendersAll students are encouraged to connect with university groups and take part in their activities. Additionally, many students take full advantage of the large numbers of speakers series held throughout Maxwell and Syracuse University.
