Hosted by the Department of Economics, the Economics Department Seminar is held in 112 Eggers Hall on Tuesdays from 4:00PM to 5:30PM (unless noted otherwise).
Econometric Lunch
The bi-weekly Econometrics Lunch is held on Fridays from 11:30AM to 1:30PM in 112 Eggers Hall. Topics include theoretical and applied econometrics with speakers both from SU and other universities. Speakers discuss their own work or important recent contributions to econometrics. Lunch is provided.
Trade, Development, and Political Economy Workshop
Normally meets on Mondays (but sometimes on Thursdays) from 4:00PM to 5:00PM in 341 Eggers Hall. Speakers from both outside and from within SU present their research on theoretical and empirical issues related to international trade, development, and topics at the intersection of economics and political science.
CPR Seminar
Meets every Thursday afternoon from 3:45PM to 5:15PM in 441 Eggers Hall.
Conferences
Camp Econometrics is an annual conference that brings together econometricians and empirical economists from around the region to discuss issues in econometrics. The Department of Economics sponsors additional conferences on approximately an annual basis, typically in conjunction with the Center for Policy Research.
